I use Med2k map activator. (See MED2K EDITOR.). You may also use the editor function of MED2k as sort of an error checker- it simply will not load a non-functioning map. NOTE: Newest version of Dominator are incompatible with all other editors.

Be sure to close any incompatible/interferrence programs, especially Dune 2000.

Choose correct path to custom map. In order for any custom map to function, it must reside in map folder located in Westwood\Dune2000\Data\maps.

The .map filename and the map name must match your opponent(s) when you play on this map over the internet ( LAN games., etc...).

Programmers/interested parties! Email me for info on Dune III, a concept that would involve getting Westwood to release code for D2k so that we may add queuing, waypoints, another radar map, etc.....

This map could be used as a simple four way. Also, if you chose 5 player, one player will end up unreachable (except for infantry) on the plateau. This gives a tremendous advantage to this player on defence. In a human game, this player could be sealed in however! If the player on the plateau is AI, then it will be a challenge to defeat him. I created this map to study the default AI behavior (even though I can't peruse the AI scripts- Westwood really should make this (and the rest of the code) available-darnit!
