I use the Med2k map activator. (See MED2K EDITOR.). You may also use the editor function of MED2k as sort of an error checker- it simply will not load a non-functioning map. NOTE: Newest version of Dominator are incompatible with all other editors. Use small (not caps) letters for save names and .map extention if you wish to use Med2k editor.

Be sure to close any incompatible/interferrence programs, especially Dune 2000.

Choose correct path to custom map. In order for any custom map to function, it must reside in map folder located in Westwood\Dune2000\Data\maps. You must also activate the map so it will appear in the multiplayer directory of Dune 2000.

The .map filename and the map name must match your opponent(s) when you play on this map over the internet ( LAN games., etc...). Suggested name to input is Deuce (MED 2 players)

'You step toward the chambers of the perfect one, the one once known as Paul Mordeeb. The battles have been bloodly, and more importantly- decisive. All factions have been crushed- except for yours, and one other. Word has come, the Fremen wish for one more meeting with the remaining two factions. A separate meeting with each faction. While skullduggery could be in the works, the thought is doubtful. What care the Fremen, whom, through the skill of arms, now control all of Arrakis. No, it is doubtful they would care to choose a side. With control of Dune and warriors whose numbers are uncountable, they could cut the flow of Spice completely. However, Usul will allow the harvest, and with only one faction left to oppose you, it had might as well be your faction to have the honor...and the profit!'
